Theresa de Sarigny is a qualified Chartered Accountant who started her Investment Banking career at Rand Merchant Bank completing her Articles at Price Waterhouse Coopers. She obtained her B Comm and B Acc at Wits University. She spent 12 years at RMB Ventures, a private equity arm of RMB, and was involved in all aspects of various leveraged buy-outs and black empowerment transactions. For the last 13 years Theresa has served on various Investment and Credit Committees at FirstRand, Ashburton and Stanlib as an independent non-executive member. Her experience as a deal maker and committee member has given her an in depth understanding of the private equity, leveraged finance and debt markets in South Africa and thus enables credible insight into the analysis of risk and reward, structuring and understanding of financial transactions. Theresa has been married to Gavin for 23 years and has 2 teenage daughters and 3 naughty dogs!
